An Idea for My Ed. Tech. Class
I'm currently developing the Master Course for the Educational Technology course. The main focus for this course is to create a module-based experience which puts the learners into real-life situations that occur when you work in education. One of the first ideas I had was to have these students attend a conference experience. Since I don't have the funding available to send them all to a conference, I created my own using primarily TEDtalk videos and having more general Keynote and Closing Remarks videos to begin and end the "day."
Here's what it looks like right now:
I'm so jazzed about this! I think it will be really interesting to see the kinds of notes those students will "bring back" from the conference and share with their fellow future educators. I'm also loving the chance to integrate social media into the experience in a meaningful way.
I'll report back during next semester when the pilot version of the class runs to let you know what this turns out like!
